How Great Thou Art

Verse 1
O Lord my God When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars I hear the rolling thunder
Thy pow’r thru’out The universe displayed

Then sings my soul My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art How great Thou art
Then sings my soul My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art How great Thou art

Verse 2
When through the woods And forest glades I wander
And hear the birds Sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down From lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook And feel the gentle breeze

Verse 3
And when I think That God His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die I scarce can take it in
That on the cross My burden gladly bearing
He bled and died To take away my sin

Verse 4
When Christ shall come With shout of acclamation
And take me home What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow In humble adoration
And there proclaim My God how great Thou art

Message from Pastor Mike Belue ~ Desert Days Exodus 15:22-27

22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.

23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”

25 So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,

26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.

For I am the LORD who heals you.”

27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.

Nothing But The Blood

Verse 1
What can wash away my sin
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

O precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Verse 2
For my pardon this I see
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my cleansing this my plea
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Verse 4
This is all my hope and peace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my righteousness
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Worship Ministries
The most important thing that we do is to answer God’s call to wholehearted worship. It is giving a part of ourselves to Him by giving our heart, mind, soul and strength in worship to God. Worship is not something we do just on Sunday; worship is how we live every day of our lives and giving Him the praise that He deserves.

It is our desire to continue developing new choirs, ensembles, and instrumentalists. At Langston Baptist Church, we have a place for every worshiping musician,
whether professional, amateur, or aspiring who love to honor and lift high the name of Jesus.

Langston Worship Choir – Wednesday 6:00-6:55 p.m. Rehearsal in Choir Room

Our Passion for Ministry

…a choir not with voices only but with our very lives singing in harmony to glorify our God!
Romans 15:6 The Message

Do you want to be a passionate worshiper of God first, and a worship leader second? Then joyfully accept the challenge and embrace with a heart of passion our mission and ministry:

• to minister the love of God
• to communicate the Spirit of God
• to see people touched and transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ

God has blessed Langston with an outstanding choir made up of people just like you who desire to serve with excellence in offering their musical gifts and talents and in their daily walk with Jesus Christ.

Through inspirational music, the choir leads our congregation to focus our attention on God, the one true Audience, with anthems, musicals, and other seasonal events. The choir also provides opportunities for solos and ensembles (chosen from the choir), music outreach events, and a sense of family with others who love music and offer it as a pleasing sacrifice to the Lord. Enrollment is always open for this group, and no audition is required. Please review the Worship Choir Handbook for more information and details of how you can be a part of the Langston Worship Choir.

Instrumental Ministry – Wednesday 8:15 p.m. Rehearsal in Worship Center

This group of talented musicians use their gifts to contribute greatly to the celebration of worship. The requirement for this group is good music reading skills and a minimum of one year experience on an instrument. We always need players whether it is woodwind, brass, horn, or stringed instruments. For more information, contact the Worship Ministry office.

club m4k (music for kids) Sunday 6:00 p.m. August – May
We offer curriculum, fun activities, loving leaders, and an environment where children can learn about who God is; about His Son, Jesus; and about how to praise and worship God — bringing Him glory in their music and in their lives. We have a strong commitment to children learning spiritual truths through music. Children from age 4 through 5th grade can look forward to music, instruments, games, and a lot of fun as club m4k develops a love for God through music and a love for worshiping Him. They also learn important doctrine and memorize Scripture through music and activities.
